Sad news today

I haven't posted in a while as Taryn does a better job than me. Today we got some very sad news concerning Kona. A couple months ago Kona had a growth removed from his eye lid as well as his side. We didn't think much of it since he had another skin tag removed from his eye lid in the past. A couple weeks later we noticed that Kona had more growths popping up. About two weeks ago two of the growths began to bleed which was concerning, so we decided to have them removed. Our general care vet had them sent to a pathologist as he was concerned with these growths. Yesterday we learned that they tested positive as being malignant and that Kona has hemangiosarcoma. Today we took him to the Oncologist where he spent most of the day. They found cancerous nodules on his spleen as well as throughout his chest cavity. Due to the severity of his cancer, we've decided not to treat. Our Oncologist agreed that at this point, that is probably the best decision due to the severity. We've also decided to cancel our vacation to the Cape for now as she's only given him 1-2 months and if we have to make that final decision, we would rather Kona be at home.
